With your RATS membership you will get discounts on training sessions (windtrainer classes, swim sessions), RATS events, as well as subsidised social events.

NOTE: All transactions incur an online booking fee. A full Tri NZ membership means you do not have to pay racing license fees for affiliated events.
Membership Process & Structure
Registration for membership for 2020/21 is now live. Register here. Follow the instructions on the Register Now pages to complete the registration process.
Club membership runs annually from 1st October to 31st October.
At the 2020 AGM, subs were discussed at agreed to be set at the following rates for the 2020/2021.
We allow a month overlap because we hold the AGM in October. If you join after 1 August, your membership is rolled over into the following year.
We have introduced a Life Membership category. If you are a Life Member, please choose the LM membership category when renewing your annual Club membership. There will be no club registration fee and your TRINZ membership will also be paid by RATS.

tribe membership
TRIBE (TriNZ governing body) membership is compulsory to ALL club members.
There are many reasons why it’s important to be affiliated with the National governing body including, but not limited to: insurance, high performance, youth development, event endorsement and voting rights.
At the 2018 Club AGM, the Club voted to gather the TRIBE fees as part of the membership fees, rather than require TriNZ try to collect TRIBE membership fees independently. As such, the membership fees apply for membership of RATs and TRIBE.

Wetsuit Hire
RATS has wetsuits in a range of sizes for our members to borrow.
Cost is $100 bond which is returned to you when the wetsuit comes back. Great opportunity for those looking to get into open water swimming or triathlon but aren’t sure about making the leap to buying a wetsuit.
You will need to fill in this form and email RATS to arrange a hire.
